Small Graces: The Quiet Gifts of Everyday Life by Kent Nerburn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book was a download on my kindle. The sort of which I bought after only reading the title and having a vague feeling that I had seen it recommended somewhere. When I started to read I groaned. I am not religious and finding God in the small things didn't really appeal to me. As I had paid for it I persevered. This book isn't about finding God in the small things. It is a collection of anecdotes from a man who stops to appreciate the world around him. Perhaps one man's God is another (wo)mans little treasures. It's a sweet book, I had lots of 'Ahh I do that' moments, but it's not life changing. However as a gentle reminder to slow down, I recommend it.
