Granny Goodness...

Good morning/afternoon/evening bloggers =]

My name is Terrie, and I am a granny square addict....

All of these lovelies are destined for Sarah London - I mentioned her appeal in my last post...

I have had a humongous amount of fun making these .....

......So okay I'm not exactly an addict but they are really hard to put down - especially when there is no colour restrictions so I can just delve into my basket and grab whatever comes to hand. I must also admit that the best part of making these particular granny squares is that I don't need to join them! I have to confess that is my worst part of crochet....hence the many UFO's!

Now a question - I keep getting a trapped nerve in my neck which causes me to walk around like a robot! I've never suffered with my neck before and I am wondering if it has anything to do with the constant hooking. Have any of you had similar problems? It's possibly something quite unrelated but it does make hooking uncomfortable so any advice would be appreciated!

Okay, yummy stew for tea tonight so I am off to get a start on that before my lovelies get home.

You have really crocheted up a pile of grannies! Sarah will be happy about that. It is such a good cause. Your neck problems are likely the result of the way you are positioning yourself while crocheting. Think for a moment about the way in which you crochet, where you are doing it and what type of chair you are sitting on and where the lighting is. Then, you may start to understand what's up. I used to crochet while sitting on the couch but I found I got a very stiff neck. Then I tried a rocking chair which did the same thing..I was leaning or straining my neck forward. It takes a bit and sometimes a few days to try a different thing but you may find a good compromise.

I really love your squares Terrie, so pretty!!!!
So exciting to see so many grannies being made for Crochet a Rainbow :D

Sorry to hear about your neck problem....I dont suffer from that from crocheting, But I do get a sore thumb and wrist from time to time. I hope you can work out what is causing it and find some relief.

Beautiful squares. I just wish I could crochet. Each time I try it all goes wrong.

Go and treat yourself to a massage .......
