Pink Sky in Morning.....

I shuffled downstairs to be greeted by the most glorious sun rise this morning. But you know what they say 'Pink sky in morning, Shepperd's warning.' So that pink yumminess quickly turned into this....

Sigh. Never mind. It made me smile while it lasted. I have also been a very naughty girl today. Instead of tackling the mountain of washing I have upstairs and this....

I have sat and played with this....

Tsk. Tsk. These stars are so addictive. I think it's because they are so simple and quick to work up so you get instant gratification. I have had questions to what this yarn is and I keep forgetting to tell you. It is called reflection from Creative Yarns. I bought it from my LYS shop so I am not sure if they sell it online. It is 10% Mohair, 10% Wool, 75% Acrylic (which is why it's cheap I expect!) and 5% Metallic. I don't usually go for metallic yarns but this blends in quite well. It is sold as DK but it is super thin so I am using a 3.5mm hook. It's not the best yarn I have worked with because the metallic has a habit of splitting away but I have never worked with metallic before so i don't know if this is just what it does. The thing that sold me was the colours. Yummy yummy colours.

Oh just heard that a Royal Wedding is on the cards - Lucky Lucky girl!

Have a lovely Wednesday

Oh, ohhhh, I want some of that yarn, it's so pretty. I went looking for some yarn yesterday with something sparkly in it for some Christmas crochet and found zilch. This most frustrating. Perhaps I'll have to get use to ordering online but I like to look and handle something before I buy.
The sunrise photo is spectacular.
Enjoy your day,
Anne

Pretty, pretty yarn.

Love your pink sky, too bad it turns to rain. I love that yarn your using. I've always had a problem with metalic threads splitting in yarns. It's a pain, but the results are so pretty.

I'd love to learn how to make these stars. Are they easy enough for a beginner?

Thank you ladies =]

Hi Kris, Yes! These stars are so simple. If you go to the Royal Sisters blog in my sidebar there is a pattern for them in the sidebar of that blog. Good luck - I'd love to see them if you have a go.
